ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ Recently, we have joined hands with “Muslim Care”, a compassionate and respectful program designed to assist our community members at times of loss and grief. Please visit Muslim Care at https://muslimcare.ca/  for in-depth information. “Muslim CARE” is a community-based program launched in 2019 to help fund Islamic funerals. It fosters the spirit of brotherhood and unity, encouraging us to support each other in times of need. We have joined them as “ICM/MDI group” and we will be your direct contact in your time of need. If a member passes away, Muslim Care provides a funeral service expense of C$6,000 to the member’s family. To become a member, you need to register with a one-time fee of C$150 (one hundred and fifty dollars). This fee will cover yourself and your immediate family members living with you. This fee goes into a common fund shared by all members. Please check the Muslim Care website  https://muslimcare.ca/  “Frequently Asked Questions” for additional information. For registration, we have added a computer fill-in form. Once completed you can print and sign it and bring this to the MDI admin office with a copy of the void check. To maintain this membership, you will only have to contribute a payment of a maximum of $20 (this amount will reduce as members grow), on the passing away of a registered member. This amount will be charged automatically, after advising you, through your bank account. Details are in the registration forms. Who is eligible? If you are a Muslim family in the Greater Toronto Area, you are eligible to become a member. The membership covers you, your spouse, and children up to the age of 25 living at the same address. People over 25, living at the same address, need to register separately, for example, your parents. Why join? Not only does this program alleviate the financial burden during challenging times but it also strengthens our community. By joining in and contributing, you are helping your brothers and sisters, earning spiritual rewards, and ensuring that your family will also be supported during tough times. This program is a wonderful opportunity to put our faith into action, you will also be helping to ease the burden of our fellow community members in their time of need. We encourage everyone to register with “Muslim CARE” through our group. Let us strengthen our community and support one another, as Allah (SWT) has commanded us. Furthermore, In Sha Allah we will be having a complete Funeral facility at ICM/MDI by 2028. At present, Masjid Darul Iman is open for Jenaza Salat for our community.
