Qualified Evening Quran Islamic Studies Teacher

Person Specification

• 
  Excellent knowledge and understanding of Tajweed & Qur’an recitation: The candidate must demonstrate a profound grasp of Tajweed rules and the ability to recite the Qur’an accurately and melodiously.
• 
  Practicing Muslim(ah) with sound knowledge and understanding of Islam: The candidate should be a practicing Muslim with a solid foundation in Islamic teachings and principles.
• 
  Dedication and passion to shaping the next generation of Muslims: A strong commitment to nurturing and educating young Muslims is essential.
• 
  Experienced in teaching and inspiring children aged 6-16 years: The candidate should have substantial experience in teaching and engaging with children and teenagers.
• 
  High level of literacy, communication, and familiarity with students of today’s day and age: The ability to communicate effectively and understand the needs and challenges of contemporary students is crucial.
• 
  Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines: The candidate should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

Teacher Responsibilities

• 
  Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons: Teach according to MDI’s curriculum, covering Qur’an/Qawa’id, Memorisation and Islamic Studies).
• 
  Ensuring the highest standards of quality and applying appropriate teaching methods: Strive for excellence in teaching and employ effective pedagogical techniques.
• 
  Managing student behavior: Maintain discipline in the classroom and report any issues as necessary.
• 
  Keeping up-to-date records: Monitor and record students’ attendance, learning progress, and reward systems.
• 
  Setting and assessing in-class activities and regular homework: Assign and evaluate assignments and homework to facilitate learning.
• 
  Writing termly progress reports: Prepare progress reports each term and update parents on their children’s performance.
• 
  Participating in Staff Meetings: Attend and contribute to staff meetings to ensure the smooth operation of the Madrasah.
